Production Planner

Job Description

The Production Planner is responsible for capacity planning, production planning, material availability and production scheduling to support customer needs. This position works collaboratively with personnel from various departments to oversee daily production operations, ensure supply chain efficiencies and monitor timelines.

• Schedule production lines to meet changing monthly forecasts while managing inventory levels and schedules.  Adjust production schedules according to current and emerging requirements.
• Review and action order release and exception messages generated. 
• Create and maintain weekly production schedules utilizing tools and systems such MTMs and Excel. Production schedule must take into consideration inventory availability and customer service prioritization requests.
• Collaborate with production managers to ensure optimum productivity and timely completion of orders.
• Coordinate production workflow for multiple products, as well as planning and prioritizing operations in a manner that guarantees maximum performance with reduces delays. 
• Determine raw materials needed to cover production demand.
   

Qualifications

• 5 plus years experience in a similar role
• Bachelors degree a plus
• A.P.I.C.S. certification a plus
• Proficient with MRP/ERP tools. Should also have advanced knowledge of MS Office Suite, including MS Excel
• Excellent communication skills

Hourly Rate: $28 - $34 / Hour + Bonus eligible
