Professional Services Practice Architect
The Practice Architect is responsible for supporting high-profile customer engagements, while also contributing to the definition of core professional services strategies, methodologies and processes. This role will be responsible for shaping and optimizing Zscaler’s services in key subject matter areas through collaboration with internal product teams, field technical leaders, and direct customer interaction. The Practice Architect will serve as a senior level technical leader who will coordinate between Zscaler’s pre-sales/sales teams and professional services delivery teams to ensure alignment with the customers overall and ongoing network and cloud security transformation initiatives. This role requires in-depth technical expertise in networking, security, and cloud infrastructure along with the ability to engage and positively influence decision makers at all levels.
Responsibilities:
- Act in a leadership capacity in order to define and deliver professional services solutions tailored to the customer’s cloud transformation roadmap and strategy
- Leverage your deep subject matter expertise to engage and provide guidance to senior level customer stakeholders facilitating project success, and best practice adherence
- Collaborate with cross-functional resources such as solutions architecture, sales/sales engineering, and product management as needed in order to ensure alignment with customer’s overall transformation strategy
- Engage product management function(s) to understand future product capabilities, customer use cases, and best practices to leverage in the team’s delivery methodologies
- Contribute to team development and growth through the transfer of information and sharing of subject matter expertise
- Mentor and coach internal and partner consultants in new technologies, architecture, and process areas including but not limited to consultative skills
Qualifications
- Minimum 7 plus years of field experience in networking and security architecture in either a pre-sales or professional services capacity
- Demonstrate deep knowledge of networking and security architecture and ability to engage in technical discussions with networking and security architects of large enterprises
- Previous experience in professional services methodology creation and implementation
- Strong understanding and experience with professional services solutions/offerings for large enterprises
- Demonstrated ability to lead cross departmental collaboration on strategic initiatives
- Strong understanding on how to navigate large enterprise organizations /personnel structures
- Experience collaborating with product engineering in order to provide real information, feedback, and data on product performance within customer’s environments
- Demonstrate ability to create, produce and QA technical documentation. Documents should include a clear and well-organized executive summary, abstract, technical and architecture requirements, solutions, leading practices, and business value examples, or calculations. Writing sample(s) may be requested by hiring manager
- Minimum BS in Engineering, CS, MIS, or related disciplines preferred
