About the role
IAT Insurance Group has an immediate opening for a Senior Systems Analyst role. As a Senior Systems Analyst, you will play a critical role in supporting and maintaining our enterprise systems, including Policy, Billing, Claims, and Document Management. You will lead and mentor a team of skilled analysts and developers, both onshore and offshore, to ensure the stability, performance, and scalability of our systems. This role requires a strategic thinker with strong technical skills, Duck Creek experience, and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and senior leadership.
This role works a hybrid schedule from Naperville, IL. We will also consider other IAT locations, including Raleigh, NC, Rolling Meadows, and Scottsdale, AZ. Occasional travel is required. The hybrid schedule reflects our values (thinking and acting like an owner, collaboration, and teamwork), fostering a culture where every team member feels aligned and connected. Occasional travel is required. Flexibility to work nights and weekends as needed is required.

Responsibilities:
- Team Leadership & Development: Lead and mentor both onshore and offshore teams, driving maturity and continuous improvement. Develop and implement strategies to enhance offshore team capabilities.
- Technical Support & Analysis: Support end users by researching and analyzing problems, documenting steps to recreate issues, testing fixes, and documenting resolutions. Analyze issues for root cause and determine if they are defects or enhancements.
- System Performance & Improvement: Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and recommend improvements. Provide feedback to the QA team to adjust test plans and ensure accurate system changes.
- Reporting & Documentation: Develop reports using various query and report writer tools. Prepare clear and concise business documentation and communications.
- Customer Service & On-Call Support: Provide superior customer service to both internal and external customers. Assume 24-hour on-call responsibility as needed.
- Project Management & Integration: Drive projects to optimize team efficiency and improve team maturity. Participate in the integration of new technologies and solutions.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Engage with key stakeholders, including senior leadership, to ensure alignment and support for system initiatives.
- Perform other tasks as needed.
Qualifications:
Must-Have:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field and at least five years of relevant experience or equivalent.
- A minimum of nine years of relevant work experience is equivalent to a degree and five years of experience.
- Proficient with Duck Creek Policy System
- Strong analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
- Analyze requirements to determine if the system is behaving as designed.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to work in a collaborative, deadline-driven production environment.
- Ability to manage small to medium-sized project efforts effectively, utilizing a working knowledge of a system development methodology.
- Ability to multi-task, manage details, and execute effective follow-through.
- Ability to learn new applications, systems, and workflow concepts.
- Ability to continually expand knowledge base through personal initiative and industry-sponsored courses/seminars.
- Ability to continue education and stay up to date on technical developments.
- To qualify, all applicants must be authorized to work in the United States and must not require, now or in the future, VISA sponsorship for employment purposes.
- 2+ years P&C insurance or system development or application support experience.
- Knowledge of Help Desk and Project Management applications
(Workday or similar Project and Portfolio Management application and or Service Now or similar application). - Experience with SQL and Query report generation.
- SharePoint experience.
