Overview
Edith Bowen Laboratory School is an elementary school on Utah State University’s campus, serving grades K-6. The Child Nutrition program participates in the National School Breakfast and Lunch Programs, and needs someone who can assist the child nutrition director with food preparation, serving and cleaning up after meals, Monday-Friday, for the school year. We are looking for someone who can work a full block of time between 8 a.m. and 1 p.m., as well as someone who could come in for a few hours between 7 a.m. and 1 p.m. (the schedule could vary based on whether you are helping with breakfast and/or lunch).
Responsibilities
The Edith Bowen Laboratory School food service worker will be assigned a variety of duties, including, but not limited to food preparation, stocking, serving, dishwashing, and basic cleaning.
Qualifications
Applicants must be able to:
- Work well with people of all ages.
- Follow written and verbal instructions.
- Read and follow a recipe in English
- Work independently as well as with a team through a variety of kitchen-related tasks.
- Have or be able to obtain a Food Handlers Permit or ServSafe Certificate, within 30 days of employment.

Advertised Salary
$13.75 per hourADA
Position is indoors. Must be able to stand for long periods of time, lift at least 40 pounds, and communicate both verbally and written.
