Job Description

HII Mission Technologies is seeking an advanced Software Developer (Applications) for the Department of the Navy, Naval Air Systems Command, NAWCAD continuing requirement for NAWCAD WOLF IC2&I Distance Learning Systems (DLS) providing technical and project management support, operational support, systems engineering support, and system hardware tracking support to perform tasks in support of assigned Distance Learning (DL) and Knowledge Management (KM) related technologies and systems. This position will require working onsite in Patuxent River, MD and the candidate must be within 50 driving miles from St Inigoes, MD.

 

This is contingent upon contract award.

Essential Job Responsibilities

• Responsible for leading and directing a team providing operations and maintenance support to deployed suites of software. 
• Research, design, and develop computer and network software or specialized utility programs. 
• Analyze user needs and develop software solutions, applying principles and techniques of computer science, engineering, and mathematical analysis.
• Update software or enhance existing software capabilities. 
• Work with computer hardware engineers to integrate hardware and software systems and develop specifications and performance requirements. 
• Maintain databases within an application area while working individually or coordinating database development as part of a team. 
• Responsible for researching, testing, building, and integrating new products or major enhancements. 

Minimum Qualifications

• 9 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 7 years relevant experience with Masters in related field; 4 years relevant experience with PhD or Juris Doctorate in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 13 years relevant experience.
• Client experience requirements: Of the minimum seven (7) years of required experience, at least two (2) years of the experience must be in developing systems code using C++, C#, Java, and JavaScript. 
• Additionally, at least five (5) years of the experience must be in developing software on agile development projects consisting of at least two teams of five team members. Concurrently, at least five (5) years of the experience must be related to leading software efforts. These aforementioned years of required experience may be conducted concurrently. 
• Client education requirements: Master's degree in Technical, or Computer Science or IT discipline.
• An active Certified Secure Software Lifecycle Professional (CSSLP) certificat
