LOCATION: Green Bay
SCHEDULE: Fall and Spring Semester: 36-38 hours per week for 5 days a week. Summer Semester: 18-20 hours per week for 2-3 days, summer hours may increase depending on enrollment needs.
Flexibility required to include other evening and/or weekend hours, as necessary.
PAY RANGE: $22.90 - $24.69 per hour
*Salaries/Wages for all finalists (internal and external) will be placed within the range based upon education, experiences, current wages, and internal equity.
POSITION SUMMARY
Responsible for maintaining equipment operations and organization of a NWTC dental supply inventory within dental clinics, labs and sterilization areas. This role encompasses the maintenance and procurement of dental equipment, consumable supplies, and facility repairs. Serving as the primary contact for dental personnel regarding equipment operation. Additionally, perform clinical duties and other technical tasks to support dental areas and clinic needs. Ensure readiness to assist in any situation, maintaining composure while troubleshooting issues.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Troubleshoot and perform minor repairs on dental lab and clinic equipment. Maintain records of instruction manuals. Coordinate vendor repairs and maintain service history records.
Oversee routine maintenance and quality checks, including sterilization and waterline maintenance.
Follow College Finance policies regarding procurement procedures and reconciliation processes to support the operational needs of dental programs and clinics. Manage and maintain clinic and laboratory supply inventory. Collaborate with vendors regarding approved equipment and materials.
Act as a liaison between vendor, suppliers and leadership regarding capital budget for dental programs. Provide support with logistics, equipment training, and obtaining quotes.
Works with leadership and internal departments regarding purchase, delivery and installation of new equipment. NWTC departments (e.g. Purchasing, Facilities, IIT, Distribution) Continuously learn and apply emerging technologies and advancements to perform duties efficiently, organized, and timely.
Serve dental clinic by accessing and printing patient record requests, including dental images.
Maintain compliance with OSHA, HIPAA, and state radiation protection guidelines.
Oversee infection control, sterilization procedures, and disposal of hazardous and infectious materials. Responsibilities Include ordering and distributing radiation badges, interpreting exposure reports, coordinating appropriate storage and disposal methods for chemicals, amalgam, and sharps, and maintaining necessary documentation to meet safety and regulatory requirements.
Manage and maintain weekly inventory of lab coats for faculty, students, and staff.
Prepare for student board examinations (e.g., CRDTS) Coordinate logistics with various departments including security, distribution, facilities, ITT, and catering.
Maintain student and faculty compliance records including CPR, TB, Background Checks, etc. Ensure dental faculty and students keep records up to date with health records management system.
Perform support staff tasks during staff absences, including patient check-ins and payment processing.
Provide training for first year program students regarding operating sterilization procedures and use of new equipment.
Attend program meetings that involve dental clinic operation and program support.
