Reporting to the Deputy General Counsel, the Corporate Insurance & Claims Manager directs all activities related to corporate insurance and claims management. This position requires strong analytical capability, sound judgment, and the ability to collaborate effectively across departments and seniority levels. Success in this role requires initiative, adaptability, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. Must be resourceful, solutions-oriented, highly organized, and able to influence decisions through a clear and confident communication style. A positive, professional, and proactive approach is essential. This is a hands-on role for a practical problem-solver who takes ownership and delivers results.

What you will do:

  • Collaborate with brokers to design and implement effective corporate insurance program and risk mitigation strategies. Serve as the primary contact for insurance carriers, brokers, and other stakeholders, to ensure seamless coordination and communication. Work with brokers and third-party service providers to support renewals, market submissions, and strategic placement of insurance programs.

  • Lead and manage all insurance claims, ensuring the company’s interests are represented throughout the resolution process. Coordinate claims correspondence, documentation, reporting, and data collection to support timely and accurate outcomes. Support surety bonds processes and certificate of insurance (COI) issuance, ensuring compliance with regulatory and contract requirements.

  • Maintain accurate insurance records, including renewals, claims history, surveys, invoicing, premium allocations, and correspondence.

  • Assist in insurance-related reporting for regulatory requirements. Develop and deliver insurance program summaries, and guidance for internal stakeholders. Support representation & warranty insurance procurement for acquisitions and divestments.

  • Ensure compliance with enterprise risk management and risk control policies and procedures. Assess internal controls related to risk and insurance; identify gaps, propose enhancements, and support implementation.

  • Prioritize process improvement by developing and implementing processes to increase the efficiency and effectiveness of the corporate insurance program.

Who you are:

  • 5 years of experience in risk management and compliance, banking operations, corporate insurance, brokerage, or underwriting required.

  • 4 Year / Bachelor's Degree in Business Management, Finance, or related degree preferred.

  • Professional insurance designations (CIP, FCIP, CRM, ARM or equivalent) are valued but not mandatory.

  • Strong project management and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.

  • Strategic thinker with advanced analytical and problem-solving capabilities.

  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively across functions and build strong stakeholder relationships.

  • Experience working with insurers, brokers, and third-party insurance service providers is considered a strong asset.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly and persuasively to diverse audiences.

  • Skilled at identifying operational and financial risks and recommending practical, cost-effective controls.

  • Travel required: 0-10%

Pay Range: $79,750.00 - 139,730.00 Annually

AIP/Bonus: up to 10%
