We have an immediate need for a talented Maintenance Technician - Electrical & Mechanical. This Maintenance Technician conducts machine set-up, troubleshoot problems, repairs and provides preventive maintenance service to maintain production and quality and reduces equipment downtime using the computerized maintenance management system (CMMS).

• Equipment Operational Effectiveness
• Respond to equipment problems, evaluate specific nature of trouble through effective troubleshooting, determine causes of trouble, determines necessary repair, and execute/expedite repair and recovery from equipment trouble.
• Communicate specific nature of equipment repair and recovery, along with causes, to appropriate management and operations personnel.
• Document data associated with specific trouble using appropriate maintenance management systems.
• Equipment Performance and Reliability Improvements
• Analyze data associated with equipment trouble, determines and confirms specific root cause of equipment trouble develops and implements countermeasures.
• Where appropriate, develop, design, and implement kaizen improvements to improve equipment performance and reliability.
• Conduct routine inspection of equipment for early diagnosis of machine trouble.
• Collateral duties
• Performs prescribed preventative maintenance on machines as required
• Completes cross-training on different machines in the area as required by supervision
• Trains other teammates as required by supervision
• Maintains the work area and equipment in a clean orderly condition in accordance with 5S protocol and follows prescribed standard procedures and safety regulations
• Reports to work regularly and punctually as working schedule required
• Performs related duties as assigned by supervision

 

Required Qualifications Include

 

• High School Diploma or equivalent required
• Minimum of 2 year technical degree (associate of science) in electronics, robotics, general technology or related technical field preferred
• Minimum of at least 5+ years of experience in a multi-craft industrial manufacturing maintenance role or within a military technical job field
• Broad maintenance knowledge in mechanical, electrical, hydraulics and pneumatics
• Able to read and interpret gages as well as ability to read and modify complicated engineering documents and drawings
• Able to learn and understand technical aspects of PLC platforms and software, sophisticated motor control and drive packages, advanced hydraulic/pneumatic technologies and the latest in safety and equipment control devices
• Maintain updated knowledge and skills, including cross-training
• Able to work independently or as part of a team
• Strong communication and organization skills
• Able to identify complex problems, develop options and implement solutions
• Able to walk, kneel and stand frequently
