We offer a leading line of vegetable seed for growers in the United States and Eastern Canada.

SALARY RANGE

$15 – 18 per hour

 

PURPOSE AND SUMMARY STATEMENT

 

Provides quality seed at most reasonable cost of determined quantity for distribution by Seedway dealers.

 

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

 

Monitors seed conditioning process for all lots to ensure quality standards are met on agreed upon schedule to meet customer expectations.

 

Ensures equipment is maintained and properly operated to be efficient and thorough in seed cleaning.

 

Maintains professional and cordial relationship with seed growers.

 

Processes paperwork in timely manner as required by seed certification rules, Seedway inventory, and Accounts Payable.                                                                                        .

 

OTHER JOB FUNCTIONS

 

Follows GROWMARK’s Code of Conduct and Corporate Compliance Program, Environmental Health and Safety, OSHA and DOT policies and procedures, as they apply.

 

Performs all other duties as assigned.

 

REQUIREMENTS

 

Normally requires a high school diploma or the equivalent thereof, and one year or more of related work experience to demonstrate knowledge of operations of seed conditioning equipment and maintenance.

 

Demonstrates essential abilities including business knowledge, collaboration, communication, customer focus, decision making and skill development.

           

Ability to operate forklift vehicles.

Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license and satisfactory driving record.

Ability to lift 65 – 75 lbs.

Ability and willingness to participate in required training that may include education on GROWMARK’s policies and procedures and additional training as it relates to the requirements of the position.
