Division Director of Patient Logistics
About the Position:
The Division Director of Patient Logistics is responsible for strategic oversight and operational management of patient logistics across a statewide multi sector behavioral health continuum. This role plays a critical part in ensuring that patients receive timely, efficient and evidence-based access to care by optimizing the flow of patients through the continuum of services throughout Oklahoma’s behavioral health system. This position will collaborate closely with clinical, administrative, and external partners to develop and implement systems that improve the access of behavioral health care for the citizens of Oklahoma.


Typical Functions:
  • Patient Logistics Strategy
    • Develop and execute strategies ensuring timely access to behavioral health services aligned with agency goals.
  • Collaboration and Stakeholder Engagement
    • Work with clinical leaders, facility managers, IT teams, and external partners to enhance care quality and outcomes.
    • Build relationships with clinical staff, healthcare providers, community organizations, and transportation services.
  • Policy Development and Guidance
    • Create and recommend policies and regulations in line with federal and state laws.
    • Provide interpretation and application guidance for agency rules and policies.
  • Program Evaluation and Accountability
    • Assess program effectiveness through reports, audits, and activities.
    • Develop controls to maintain efficiency and accountability in division operations.
  • Budget Management
    • Manage and develop budgets for assigned programs.
  • Goal Setting and Legislative Review
    • Set division goals and accountability measures.
    • Propose legislative changes and evaluate the impact of proposed legislation.

Minimum Qualifications and Experience:
  • Bachelor’s degree and seven (7) years of relevant professional experience, including four (4) years in a supervisory or administrative capacity
  • Or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • No substitution will be allowed for the required professional experience in a supervisory or administrative capacity
Preferred Qualifications and Experience:
  • Master’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Public Health, Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, or other healthcare or logistics related field.
  • Background in healthcare logistics.
Special Requirements:
  • Applicants must be willing and able to fulfill any job-related travel normally associated with this position and as such have a valid driver’s license
