Summary
The Pricing Manager leads the planning and analyses that support the development and implementation of pricing strategies. This includes management of the formal price process and adjustor mechanism activities. In alignment with strategy and policy, develops pricing studies, programs and rate designs that align with industry best practices and are supported by sound and accurate analysis. Provides information for business leaders, including the General Manager, Chief Financial Executive, and the Treasurer.
What You'll Do
- Lead planning, analysis, and administration of strategic pricing initiatives, including Buy-through and related pricing proposals
- Lead tracking of industry news and studies relevant to Pricing and lead participation in industry Pricing groups, including LPPC working groups
- Lead special studies including transmission, ancillary/power factor, and related studies
- Lead project management efforts in support of price processes and pricing proposals
- Lead planning, analysis, and administration of pricing efforts, including base rates and adjustment mechanisms
- Perform ad hoc pricing analysis
- Monitor relevant regulatory activities in the state and nationally when of particular interest and share findings
- Responsible for key pricing areas including retail and wholesale transmission, ancillary services, the system benefits charge, market participation, and program development
- Manages the Pricing roadmap that helps identify key pricing initiatives and the planning, analysis and activities needed to advance those initiatives
- Collaborates with operations and functional business process teams to understand and define cost-to-serve and incorporate costs into pricing decision processes
- Applies pricing rules, policies, and decisions, and provides detailed explanations supporting decisions. Researches pricing discrepancies and proposes solutions to fairly resolve pricing disputes
