Key job responsibilities
As a Technical Program Manager for Talent Advancement-GTMC engineering organization, you will be responsible for helping lead a program that will be focused on creating resounding impact on assessments/skills review to support promotions and job change globally for Amazon. You will be responsible for helping lead a program that will be focused on identifying common architecture components as they span the broader usecases and coming up with a strategy on how to drive efficiencies through consolidation while not slowing down teams that depend on them. This work will underpin some of Amazon’s most strategic technical investments in the people space and support Amazon’s efforts to be Earth’s Best Employer. In this role you will have a significant impact on 1.5 million Amazonians and the communities Amazon serves.

You will play a critical role in the engineering organization's major initiatives including, setup organizational processes and mechanisms that drive goal execution, annual/quarterly/monthly planning, and contribute to a culture of operational excellence. You will be responsbile to drive scope with product, program, analytics and other stakeholders, get project plan together, work with the team on execution to launch. You will support the technical validation via UAT as needed, publish weekly/biweekly program status across the different initiatives the team will be working on. Your work will span multiple teams and organizations, routinely interacting with executives and senior leadership to align on goals, objectives and strategy.

About the team
The mission of the Global Talent Management & Compensation (GTMC) team is to help Amazonians build rewarding careers. We do this by building company-wide programs and products that support Amazon’s high performance bar, reinforce our Leadership Principles, and leverage the unique and diverse strengths of all Amazonians. We prioritize work that should be common and core across Amazon, while also identifying best practices and solutions created within businesses that should be implemented across the company. We consider ourselves successful if we help Amazon scale and build solutions that motivate employees to do their best work every day, raising the performance bar as they grow. We have an exciting charter and strong pipeline of initiatives as part of 2025 OP1.

Basic Qualifications


- 3+ years of technical product or program management experience
- 2+ years of software development experience
- 3+ years of project management disciplines including scope, schedule, budget, quality, along with risk and critical path management experience
- Experience managing programs across cross functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules

Preferred Qualifications

- 3+ years of working directly with engineering teams experience

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $114,500/year in our lowest geographic market up to $197,800/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
