The Work You Will Do:
This is a professional position providing budget coordination, administrative support, and office management related functions to the Office of Planning & Budget. Acts as liaison to other offices/divisions within the department. The incumbent in this position may have access to agency budget, collective bargaining, or confidential personnel information in accordance with F.S. 447.203 (4) & (5). Specific duties include, but are not limited to the following:
Acts as budget coordinator for Executive Direction and prepares Quarterly Spending Plans in collaboration with Executive Direction leadership and budget personnel. Attends budget related meetings with budget office staff and assigned programs. Prepares negative balance reports and agency rate analyses to be review by the Budget Chief and senior management. Prepares and disseminates quarterly Spending Plan documents for department budget personnel. Coordinates budget related trainings and seminars with Budget Office staff and department budget personnel.
Collaborates with the appropriate employee to support preparation of the Agency’s Long Range Program Plan, Capital Improvement Plan and Legislative Budget Requests; manages Budget, Legislative Affairs and Communications Office reception area, telephone phone system and office equipment.
Provides general administrative support when needed and backup to the Administrative Assistant in the Director of Administration’s office.
