THE TEAM

Modern in experience and timeless in taste, Velvet Buffalo Modern Italian delivers fresh ingredients with a side of rustic charm. Our rotating seasonal menu features thoughtfully crafted dishes made from scratch that are inspired by the many regions of Italy–from house-made pasta and artisan-style bread to sustainably sourced seafood and our own spin on traditional desserts. At Velvet Buffalo, we do classics really well.

THE PLAYER
You are responsible for working with the Expo to deliver food to the proper tables and positions, as well as assist the bartenders with ice refill, glassware and other necessities, clearing tables as soon as customers leave the restaurant, and work closely with dishwashers to ensure that there are always clean plates and flatware available for each table.

EVERY DAY, YOU WILL

• Collaborate with waitstaff to ensure that tables are cleared, cleaned and waiting for the next party
• Arrange tables for large parties and prepare the banquet hall for scheduled gatherings
• Observe tables and alert servers if guest needs anything
• Deliver food to the correct tables and positions
• Communicate with guests to ensure proper meal has been served
• Communicate with expo/server any customer issues
• Assist the bartenders in restocking the bar through the shift

Requirements

YOU WILL BE GREAT AT VELVET BUFFALO IF

• You have basic math skills and legible handwriting
• You can work well in a team
• You have strong customer service and oral communication skills
• You are able to regularly talk and hear
• You are comfortable standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping and crouching
• You are able to occasionally lift products weighing up to 50 pounds
