About the Role

The IT Intern provides technical support and assistance to employees across the organization while gaining hands-on experience in information technology operations. This position reports to the IT Director and works closely with the IT team to support daily technology needs.

This internship provides an opportunity to develop practical IT skills while assisting with troubleshooting hardware and software issues, maintaining technology systems, and supporting internal users. The internship is expected to last up to six months and may lead to a full-time opportunity based on performance and business needs.

What Success Looks Like in This Role

• Providing timely and professional technical support to employees experiencing hardware, software, or system issues.
• Accurately documenting support requests and resolutions in the help desk system while maintaining organized records.
• Assisting with troubleshooting and resolving basic technical issues related to computers, printers, network access, and common software applications.
• Supporting the IT team with routine system maintenance, equipment setup, and user onboarding tasks.
• Demonstrating a willingness to learn new technologies and contributing positively to the overall efficiency of the IT support process.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Provide first-level technical support to employees for basic hardware, software, and system-related issues.
• Respond to help desk requests and assist with troubleshooting computers, printers, network connectivity, and common software applications.
• Assist with setting up and configuring computers, user accounts, and technology equipment for new employees.
• Install basic software updates and assist with system maintenance tasks under the guidance of the IT team.
• Document support requests, troubleshooting steps, and resolutions within the help desk system.
• Assist with maintaining IT inventory including computers, peripherals, and other technology equipment.
• Support the IT team with technology projects, system upgrades, or office technology deployments.
