Client Technologies Technician II (Hybrid - Columbia, SC)

The Client Technologies Technician II configures, installs, monitors, and maintains IT users' desktop software and hardware, supporting the mobile workforce. Provides consultation to IT users for all aspects of end-user computing and desktop-based LAN systems software. Provides technical support and guidance through Tier 1 and Tier 2 support.  Responsible for documenting solutions to problems and developing end-user guidelines.  May provide on-site training to users.  Evaluates, maintains, modifies (e.g., creates macros, templates), and documents desktop application packages, participates in the testing and evaluation of new desktop packages, and implements prototypes.

What You'll Do: 

• Respond to tickets related to client technologies as assigned by Customer Support. Provide prompt and courteous service on assigned calls.
• Perform tasks associated with the administration and maintenance of tools such as SCCM, BitLocker, and other desktop-related services.
• Create and maintain desktop images for all bank standard systems. 
• Ensure these images are updated regularly and provided to third-party vendors for association and bank use.
• Organize daily work for the team and provide direction, leadership, and instruction for junior members of the Client Services team.
• Provide technical and administrative support for mobile smartphones being used to provide remote access to email and calendaring.
• Provide support and cross-train on other services provided by this team, which may not be specifically defined in the job description.

What You'll Need: 

• Education and/or experience equivalent to an Associate Degree in systems administration
• 3+ years of desktop support or systems administration
• A+ certification or equivalent experience with desktop hardware preferred.
• Advanced working knowledge of desktop encryption methods, including BitLocker administration.
• Effective mobile management, troubleshooting, and decision-making skills.
