Bachoco OK Foods is seeking a Production Superintendent for our Muldrow, OK location. 

 

The Production Superintendent is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of the 2nd Shift, Plant 2 Operations.

 

Work Schedule: M-F 3pm-3am

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Make sure all safety standards are being applied.
  • Oversees start-up and set-up.
  • Coordinates all daily activities with supervisors.
  • Makes sure products are being ran correctly (quality, packaging).
  • Assures product quality and wholesomeness.
  • Communicates with Quality, Maintenance, all shift production and Sanitation.
  • Responsible for answering unfavorable variances with the plant.
  • Responsible for USDA concerns.
  • Takes care of employee issues and human resource issues.
  • Schedules employees for company meetings (i.e. hearing tests, 401K sessions, etc.).
  • Coordinates rework from freezer.
  • Makes sure everyone is notified of schedule changes (production, maintenance, supply, and QC).
  • Ensures highest quality standards are met for every product.
  • This is a safety sensitive position.

 

Supervisory Responsibilities: Manages subordinate supervisors who supervise hourly employees in the plant. Is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of these units. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

 

Education and/or Experience: Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Language Skills: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.  Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.  Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.

 

Mathematical Skills: Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.  Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.

 

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: Must have a valid driver's license and be able to quality for the company's driver program.

 

Reasoning Ability: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

 

Computer Skills: To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Accounting software; Payroll systems; Spreadsheet software and Word Processing software.
