About the role

Position Overview:  The primary purpose of your job supervise the day-to-day activities of the Housekeeping Department in accordance with the current applicable federal, state and local standards, facility guidelines, regulations and procedures, to assure that our facility is maintained in a clean, safe and comfortable manner.

Specific Responsibilities: 

  • Provide leadership, follow instructions and take suggestions.
  • Supervise the day-to-day housekeeping functions of assigned personnel.
  • Assist Facilities Manager in setting housekeeping standards and methods in which work is 

   accomplished. 

  • Assist in developing procedures for performing daily housekeeping tasks.
  • Coordinate daily housekeeping services with patient service when performing routine 

   cleaning assignments in resident living and/or recreational areas. 

  • Schedule work assignments, preparing cleaning schedules, etc., revise as necessary.
  • Assure that work/cleaning schedules are followed as closely as practical.
  • Train assigned personnel in the proper techniques of mixing chemicals, cleaning  

   disinfectants, solutions, cleaning methods, use of equipment, etc., as directed. 

  • Assure that the daily supply of clean linen is delivered to all floors prior to end of shift.
  • Assure that refuse is disposed of daily and in accordance with our established sanitation 

   procedures. 

  • Conduct daily inspections of assigned work areas to assure that cleanliness and sanitary    

   conditions are maintained
