About the role
<p>UNS is one of the most sustainable and innovative architecture offices in the world. Our UNS Model Space archive is a vital part of our creative process, housing a collection of physical models that document our projects and serve as a source of inspiration and reference for our team.</p><p></p><p><strong>Role Overview</strong></p><p>We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Archive Assistant (12-16 hours per week) to support the maintenance and management of the Model Space. The Archive Assistant will play a key role in cataloging, preserving, and organizing architectural models, ensuring they are accessible and well-maintained for internal use and external presentations.</p><p></p><p><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></p><ul><li><p>Cataloging and Documentation:</p><ul><li><p>Accurately document and catalog architectural models, including metadata such as project name, date, scale, and materials.</p></li><li><p>Maintain and update the digital archive system for easy retrieval of models.</p></li></ul></li><li><p>Model Preservation and Maintenance:</p><ul><li><p>Ensure models are stored in optimal conditions to prevent damage or deterioration.</p></li><li><p>Perform regular inspections and minor repairs on models as needed.</p></li></ul></li><li><p>Organization and Accessibility:</p><ul><li><p>Organize the Model Space archive to ensure models are easily accessible for team members.</p></li><li><p>Assist in preparing models for presentations, exhibitions, or client meetings.</p></li></ul></li><li><p>Collaboration and Communication:</p><ul><li><p>Work closely with project teams to ensure models are accurately represented and available when needed.</p></li></ul></li><li><p>Administrative Support:</p><ul><li><p>Maintain an inventory of materials and supplies needed for model preservation and repairs.</p></li><li><p>Assist in creating guidelines or manuals for model handling and storage.</p></li></ul></li></ul>
<h3>Requirements</h3>
<p><strong>Qualifications</strong></p><ul><li><p>Education and Experience:</p></li></ul><p>Background in architecture, design, art history, or a related field is preferred.
