The Financial Planning & Modelling team enables a streamlined budgeting & forecasting process within RWE Clean Energy organization for Onshore Wind, Solar, and Storage assets. The Associate, Asset Data Analytics & Reporting will work closely with sites, regional and asset managers to ensure activities are translated into numbers for budgets, forecasts, and overall performance. The position will also support the modeling of OpEx and production for new projects, performing ad-hoc financial analyses utilizing simplified, discounted cash flow models.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with Wind, Solar, and Storage sites to prepare accurate CapEx, OpEx & Production budgets and forecasts
- Leverage operational insights & data from across the organization and model operations and maintenance costs for potential new-build projects and ventures
- Recommend effective solutions (through developing business cases) for business and technical issues
- Analyze fleet performance and provide actionable insights for management
- Explore opportunities to drive improvements in various fields - production, availability, cost, safety, and organizational culture
- Support the analysis of major component failures, reliability, and overall asset health
- Translate large-scale operational maintenance campaigns and work into monthly financial plan
- Present plan-over-plan changes in budget to Operations Management leadership
Qualifications:
- Minimum 2 years of relevant experience required
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, science, or business fields; Master's degree a plus.
- Excellent proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook) and Teams
- Demonstrated experience in building and working with financial models and understanding financial statements
- Experience with SAP Analytics Cloud and Tableau (or similar financial planning and analysis applications)
- Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage customer relationships
- Demonstrated desire to learn about the Company and the renewables space
- Strong communication, and ability to meet deadlines
- Strong organization skills and ability to coordinate multiple tasks and deliverables
- Ability to multi-task, while working independently and as part of a team
- Motivated self-starter, goal-oriented, and strong problem-solving abilities
- Responds well to direction, is easy to challenge and develop, and is coachable
- Detail-oriented, strong business acumen, and a sound understanding of business concepts
