We’re constantly growing, and that’s where this new opportunity comes in – for a Cost Data Manager with a focus on supporting our Job Order Contracting (JOC) efforts. The ideal candidate should have experience with data management, compiling data, creating quality control measures, general trades, mechanical, electrical, and/or plumbing costs, motivating and strategizing with their team to be successful.   Position Responsibilities:
  • Create a framework to support data collection, automation, implementation, and product initiatives.
  • Create standards and protocol for quantity takeoff from both 2-D and 3-D electronic documentation
  • Update and expand cost database records associated with job order contracting.
  • Create a plan for improving the UPB in its usability.
  • Formulate a staffing plan that will be able to accommodate client inspired growth, organic growth and quality control/enhancement
  • Create analytics to support pricing modeling that is live and easily updated.
  • Create a protocol to control quality control before product is delivered to the client.
  • Envision enhancements to include technical drawings, informative descriptions and automation.
  • Identify sources of data of analytical value, root cause incorrect data to be detected and corrected, augment internally created data with external sources, AI, and learning algorithms, and consolidate data into a unified analytics-friendly environment.
  • Responsible for creating and maintaining new/innovative reporting platforms to convey results using the allocated tools.
  • Identify relationships between construction/estimating variables, items, quantities, and costs to create assemblies of multiple items based on calculated relationships
  • Manage and collaborate with other estimators, architects, engineers, and team members in a highly collaborative manner.
  • May handle other responsibilities as needed

Required skills and experience:

  • Minimum 10+ years of relevant work experience required 
  • Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, Computer Science, Data Science, Business, or related field required. Master’s degree preferred.
  • Experience with the design and/or construction of Corporate, Government, K-12, Higher Education, Healthcare and/or Laboratory type projects preferred.
  • Ability to adopt and utilize multiple software platforms.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, communication, collaboration, and time management skills.
  • Basic knowledge of construction including means, methods, and costs.
  • Knowledge in construction material costing.
  • Knowledge in estimating.
  • Knowledge in data management.

  The salary range for this position is $96,800 to $121,000 annually.  This salary range is the range we believe is the anticipated range of possible base compensation at the timing of the posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the anticipated salary range for the position. Employees may be eligible for discretionary bonuses.
