Job Summary

Responsible for managing and enforcing project delivery methodology that enhances project organization, communication, and quality delivery of accounting-related strategic initiatives
Serve as the primary point of contact between the IT, consultants, and accounting, ensuring task completion and clear and effective communication
Handle unique and complex accounting tasks that fall outside the scope of regular accounting duties (e.g., identify opportunities for process improvements within special projects and implement best practices)
Achieve broadly communicated objectives with minimal supervision
Provide steady leadership in the face of uncertainty, change, and aggressive deadlines common to a rapidly evolving business model

Job Description

Key Accountabilities

•Leads cross-functional meetings and fosters teamwork, drives escalation and resolution of issues•Tracks task completion for items such as projects, controls, IT ticket completion •Manages all aspects of a given project, from requirements to implementation•Addresses escalated issues (cost, staffing, scope, schedule) and seeks appropriate assistance from management team as appropriate•Proactively sets expectations and helps project team members manage expectations around delivery and requirements, yielding consistent results

Education, Experience, & Skill Requirements

•5+ years experience or relevant experience•Proven ability to lead integrated teams from various internal and external organizations•Adept at helping team members harness strengths in pursuit of successful project outcomes•Ability for independent decision making and to assume higher-level leadership responsibilities in critical situations•Proven problem-solving, decision-making skills•Effective “consultative” and influencing approach•Proven ability to adapt to change quickly•Effective self-development skills
