FLORIDA DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH - OPEN COMPETITIVE

Your Specific Responsibilities:

This is responsible, independent work assisting Division of Children's Medical Services staff with tasks involving human resource management. The incumbent will provide personnel support to include, but not limited to:

• Conducting reference checks.
• Updating Table of Organizations.
• Assisting with new employee on-boarding.
• Maintaining accurate and up-to-date employee records and files.
• Processing personnel actions, such as recruitment, classifications, pay changes and separations.
• Providing guidance and support to employees on department policies and procedures.
• Assisting with special projects, such as employee recognition programs and team-building activities.
• Coordinating and scheduling training sessions and meetings.
• Assisting with recruitment outreach events (i.e. hiring fairs).
• Maintaining confidentiality and handling sensitive and confidential information with discretion.

 

Minimum or Preferred Qualifications:

• 1-3 Years of Human Resources and/or Customer Service experience preferred.
• Travel Time: 5%

 

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Knowledge of basic management principles and practices. Ability to collect and evaluate data.
• Ability to organzie data into logical format for reports, documents and other written materials.
• Ability to utilize problem-solving techniques.
