Sun Chemical is seeking a Business Unit (SBU) Controller to join our Americas Advanced Materials team. The Controller is responsible for directing and managing all financial and accounting functions within the framework of corporate policy and generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP). This position is mainly remote, but some onsite work will be required.
Sun Chemical Advanced Materials Division Americas, imports, markets and sells polymers, additives, functional inks and devices throughout the region. Our Americas team is based in offices in the USA, Mexico and Brazil. The materials that we sell are produced at facilities in Europe and Asia. Our markets are diverse; electronics, automotive, lubricants, food, energy, medical. Our ethos is to provide solutions that deliver sustainable value to our customers, which enables us to share in their success.
OBJECTIVE:
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, creating, maintaining and troubleshooting budgets, financial reports, cost accounting, cost center reporting, inventory reporting, valuation and working closely with the central finance functional teams (AP, AR, Treasury Etc.) and the Americas Advanced Materials commercial team to support the business and decision making.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Responsible for performing all accounting functions including general accounting, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and cost accounting.
- Gather, process, and dissemination of all financial data and derived statistical analysis to provide information on a periodic basis to SBU, Group Controller and Corporate functions.
