Financial Analyst Fixed Assets

POSITION SUMMARY: The Financial Analyst, Fixed Assets evaluates and resolves issues to maintain the integrity of the asset records, values, and master data within the fixed asset sub-ledger for both finance and tax purposes. The Financial Analyst manages the month-end close working with the field Controllership organization to ensure the close of Asset Management (AM) is completed in a timely and accurate manner. The position also partners with the field Controllership group and various departments to provide analysis and support of the fixed asset sub-ledger.

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Records fixed asset additions, disposals, transfers, and depreciation in line with Company policy.
• Reviews and analyze existing fixed asset records to ensure proper set up and documentation.
• Provides support and assistance for any audit requests.
• Compares new and updated Company policy with current procedures to ensure compliance.
• Responsible for fixed asset account reconciliations between the sub-ledger and general ledger.
• Maintains fixed assets roll forward on a monthly basis.
• Prepare monthly and quarterly reports.
• Provides IT and departmental support for troubleshooting technical issues involving AM and supports tests of changes to AM, as necessary.
• Participates in month-end and year-end system close.
• Responds to internal and external requests for reports and analysis.
• Responsible for researching, responding to, and resolving all AM helpdesk inquiries.
• Regularly interacts with the field Controllership group and various corporate departments on a variety of tasks.
• Performs tax asset maintenance.
• Collaborates and participates in various financial and fixed asset-based projects.
• Performs other job-related duties as assigned or apparent.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Experience with Oracle accounting software.
• Experience with Standard Query Language (SQL), including writing SQL queries.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

• Minimum of 2 years of fixed asset accounting, financial analysis, or related experience.
