ImageFIRST seeks a Vice President (VP) of Internal Communications and Change Management to play a pivotal role in ensuring seamless communication strategies that support the organization’s mission, values, and vision while driving successful organizational change. This senior leadership position requires an expert in both internal communications and change management to foster a positive, high performing and collaborative culture, engage employees at all levels, and navigate complex organizational transformations.

 

Reporting to the Chief Administrative Officer, the VP will collaborate closely with the executive team, department heads, and HR leadership to design and implement comprehensive communication strategies that support business objectives, amplify leadership messages and drive adoption of change initiatives. The ideal candidate will be an influential leader with a track record of developing high-impact communications and change management strategies in dynamic, fast-paced environments.

 

 

Responsibilities & Qualifications

Key Responsibilities:

 

Internal Communications Strategy:

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive internal communications strategy that aligns with company goals, fosters transparency, and enhances employee engagement.
  • Lead the creation and distribution of communications that inform, inspire, and motivate employees at all levels, ensuring clarity and consistency of messaging across the organization.
  • Oversee internal channels including email, intranet, employee newsletters, video updates, and town halls, ensuring the flow of information is optimized and accessible to all employees.
  • Foster a positive corporate culture through compelling, strategic communication that reinforces the organization’s values and enhances the employee experience.

Change Management:

  • Lead and implement structured change management initiatives, guiding the organization through significant transformations (e.g., mergers, acquisitions, restructuring, system upgrades, process changes, etc.).
  • Assess the impact of change on people, processes, systems, and culture, and develop mitigation strategies to address potential risks and challenges
  • Develop and deploy change management frameworks, including stakeholder analysis, change readiness assessments, and training programs.
  • Establish metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess the effectiveness of change initiatives and continuously improve change management processes.

Leadership and Collaboration:

  • Provide strategic counsel to the executive leadership team, senior management, and department heads on both internal communications and change management best practices.
  • Build strong cross-functional relationships with HR, IT, Marketing, Legal, and other departments to ensure alignment in messaging, open and transparent dialogue and smooth implementation of change initiatives.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of communications and change management professionals.

Brand Alignment:

  • Ensure that internal communications reflect the company's external brand positioning and deliver consistent, timely messaging across all channels.
  • Drive initiatives to enhance the company’s employer brand, focusing on attracting and retaining top talent while fostering a positive, collaborative, high performance workplace.

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Business Administration or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
  • 10+ years of experience in internal communications, change management, or organizational development, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
  • Proven track record of managing complex, organization-wide communication initiatives and successfully leading change management processes in dynamic environments.
  • Demonstrated ability to execute engagement and communication platform to associates without company email (e.g. hourly).
