Providence Health Plan is calling an Associate Coding Analyst who will:

  • Be responsible for detailed diagnostic coding associated with Risk Adjustment and HCC Coding
  • Impact revenue and CMS compliance with the coordination of technically detailed coding applications that impacts operations, programmatic and information systems, as well as contracted providers
  • Have a comprehensive understanding of ICD-10 and other types of coding to Health Plan, contracted facilities, and providers
  • Identify and research provider diagnostic coding issues, medical record review, documentation standards and identifying and offering education in relation to provider coding errors
  • Serve in an advisory role in development of Health Plan Payment Rules to risk adjustment

  • This position is affiliated with Providence Health Plan and will be tied to a location and compensation range in Beaverton, Oregon

Required qualifications for this position include:

  • 1+ years' experience working within a healthcare provider organization or health insurance company
  • Demonstrated experience in project completion, educational program development and/or group presentation
  • Computer experience

Preferred qualifications for this position include:

  • Bachelor's Degree -OR- a combination of equivalent education and experience
  • CCS-P, CCS-H, CPC-P, or CPH-H certification
  • CCS, CPC,  CRC, RHIT or RHIA

The amounts listed are the base pay range; additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
