Essential Job Responsibilities

Achieving Results Key Components: assess, plan, evaluate, demonstrate initiative, quality of work, productivity

1.      Designs, develops, conducts and documents training of engineers and utility workers in the operation and repair of equipment and systems.

2.      Diagnoses malfunctions on a variety of equipment and systems

3.      Assists with evaluation of new equipment for purchase, and the development of equipment standards.

Demonstrates Skill Key Components: competency, job knowledge, organizational skills, analytical skill, management of information, employee & patient safety

1.     Works with contractors and monitors their activities on a variety of projects, remodels, equipment or system replacement or retrofit.

2.      Supervises engineering staff or contractors in the dismantling, repair, and reassemble of equipment and systems.

3.      Completes performance appraisals of the Engineers supervised.

4.      Administers preventive maintenance program to ensure uninterrupted operation of entire physical plant.
