About the role

Overview

The DC Security Management role is critical in safeguarding our rapidly expanding global CDN network. This position requires a detail-oriented, organized individual with a strong background in security operations and project management.The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the implementation and maintenance of physical security policies and procedures across nearly 200 global POPs.

Responsibilities

  • Security & Safety Incident Management:

    • Gather and analyze incident reports from data centers.

    • Identify security threats and risks, escalating to appropriate teams as needed.

  • Access Control Management:

    • Manage internal and external access requests.

    • Conduct regular audits of access control lists and permissions.

    • Oversee CCTV and security camera systems.

  • Shipment Compliance:

    • Manage inbound and outbound shipment requests, ensuring compliance with policies.

    • Validate and record deliveries to data centers and warehouses.

    • Implement security protocols for vendor and employee hand carries.

  • Media Handling & Destruction:

    • Oversee the destruction and sanitization of media disks.

    • Monitor and manage bad media, developing reporting processes.

    • Manage destruction vendor operations.

    • Manage lockbox and storage box usage, ensuring secure handling and tracking.

    • Ensure asset inventory compliance, including proper documentation, tracking, and audit readiness.

  • Hardware Management:

    • Handle decommissioning, RMA, and migration of equipment.

    • Diagnose security hardware issues and coordinate repairs.

    • Support data center audits and vendor management.

  • Operations:

    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve processes and procedures.

    • Analyze data center infrastructure maintenance notices and manage change requests.

    • Conduct performance and incident reviews with data center providers.

    • Create and update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Methods of Procedure (MOPs) for internal and external teams to follow.

  • Data Accuracy:

    • Maintain accurate records of all requests and projects using ticketing systems (e.g., JIRA).

    • Coordinate with internal and external teams on security initiatives.

    • Perform regular internal and external audits to ensure data integrity and compliance.

  • Vendor Support:

    • Serve as the primary point of contact for vendor security inquiries.

    • Manage vendor access and scheduling.

    • Conduct regular vendor audits and performance reviews.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Security Management, Information Technology, or related field.

  • Experience in the Telco/Infrastructure industry and with security-focused projects is preferred.

  • Strong understanding of security operations and procedures.

  • Experience in project management, with a focus on coordination and execution.

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.

  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.

  • Proficiency in using various tracking platforms and tools.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with security incident management and access control systems.
