About this position:
LMCU is looking for a Senior Copywriter that will collaborate closely with a diverse team in the development of strategic, big picture creative ideas to be executed across a variety of consumer touchpoints including print, TV, radio, social, digital, retail, outdoor and internal branded collateral. The Senior Copywriter will be responsible for leading copy and creative development from brief to final execution and will be instrumental in championing creative solutions to key-stakeholders across the LMCU organization.
What you’ll do:
Bring marketing briefs to life through conceptual ideation, development, and execution of strategically focused creative across a variety of consumer touch points and advertising channels that moves our prospects and members to action.
Collaborate with cross-functional partners within the marketing team and other LMCU internal business groups in finding creative solutions that effectively deliver results driven marketing and advertising collateral.
Guide, mentor and inspire any direct reports in their day-to-day work while helping them further develop professionally and as subject matter expertise in the credit union and finance space.
Continually research credit union and financial industry data to stay current on relevant rends impacting and potentially impacting our business. Develop a competitive data base to gain a firm understanding of the strengths and weaknesses of our competitions’ products and services, points of differentiation, and of our opportunities so collectively a firm knowledge base is established from which to draw from and to develop and write impactful copy.
Present creative concepts in a clear, articulate and persuasive manner to key stakeholders within the marketing team and across the larger organization using excellent storytelling and communication skills.
Ensure content aligns with our brand voice, tone and style guidelines.
What You’ll Bring: You’ll like this position if you have...
6+ years of experience as a copywriter as part of an internal creative team or agency environment required.
Strong proofreading experience and familiarity with standard style guides.
SEO and key search term experience is strongly preferred, but not required.
Bachelor's degree in communications, marketing, advertising, English, journalism, or related field of study.
Knowledge of WorkZone preferred, or other project management software.
Familiarity with both Mac and PC Microsoft environments is a plus.
Demonstrated success working in a fast-paced creative environment.
Team-oriented creative with a desire to collaborate.
