Job Overview

Shriners Children's is the premier pediatric burn, orthopaedic, spinal cord injury, cleft lip and palate, and pediatric subspecialties medical center.  This full-time Marketing & Communications Coordinator position supports the Shriners Children's New England location in Springfield, MA. 

 

The Marketing & Communications Coordinator provides a wide range of support to the Marketing & Communications Manager/Director including, but not limited to, writing, editing, social media management and digital channel communications management.

Responsibilities

• Strategic Communications, including writing and posting content for SC website, location microsite, intranet and social media channels
• Collaborative Communications including working with other departments and medical staff to solicit stories, and encouraging enthusiasm, positive morale and teamwork among employees
• Providing Departmental Support, including managing multiple projects and general administrative office duties.

Qualifications

Experience Required:

• 3 or more years of Marketing/Communications/Public Relations experience required
• Story telling, writing and editing experience required
• Social media creation and management experience(using a platform such as Hootsuite) required
• Managing multiple projects required
• Using a website content management system
• Adobe Creative Cloud including Acrobat, PhotoShop, InDesign, Premiere Pro required
• Basic videography skills
• Media relations
• MS Office Suite proficiency required
• Graphic design skills required

Education Preferred:

• Bachelor's Degree in Marketing/Communications, Public Relations, Journalism or related field
