About the Role:
The Director of Student Accountability and Title IX serves as a vital resource in
promoting a safe, equitable, and inclusive campus environment. This role involves managing the student conduct process, and ensuring compliance with Title IX regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Student Conduct Management:

• Oversee the student conduct process, ensuring adherence to institutional policies and procedures.
• Conduct investigations of alleged student misconduct, including gathering evidence and documentation.
• Facilitate conduct hearings, providing a fair and impartial process for all parties involved.
• Documenting findings, establishing, and then maintaining records in accordance with compliance standards and requirements.
• Develop and facilitate training for faculty and staff on student conduct policies and best practices.

2. Title IX Compliance:

• Serve as the primary deputy Title IX Coordinator for the Ivy Tech-Indianapolis campus, ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations.
• Conduct thorough investigations into Title IX complaints, including sexual harassment and discrimination cases.
• Develop and implement Title IX training programs for students, faculty, and staff to raise awareness and prevent misconduct.
• Maintain accurate records of Title IX investigations, outcomes, and related data.

3. Student Referral:

• Provide support and resources for students affected by misconduct, including referrals to counseling and other services.
• Collaborate with campus resources (e.g., Counseling Center, Advising, Center for Student Success, Disability Support Services) to provide holistic support to students.

4. Education and Outreach:

• Develop and implement educational programs and workshops on topics related to student conduct, Title IX, and personal accountability.
• Promote initiatives that foster a culture of respect, inclusion, and support within the campus community.
• Organize events and campaigns that engage students in discussions about consent, healthy relationships, and bystander intervention.

5. Data Collection and Reporting:

• Maintain accurate and confidential records of conduct and Title IX cases, ensuring compliance with privacy regulations.
• Prepare reports for college administration on conduct and Title IX statistics, trends, and policy recommendations.

6. Policy Development and Review:

• Contribute to the development and regular review of student conduct and Title IX processes, ensuring alignment with best practices and legal requirements.
• Stay informed about changes in federal and state laws related to Title IX and student conduct.

7. Program Development:

• Design and implement initiatives aimed at promoting a culture of accountability and integrity within the student body.
• Organize workshops, seminars, and events that educate students on their rights and responsibilities.
• Evaluate and assess the effectiveness of community and accountability programs and initiatives, making recommendations for improvement.
