Maintenance Mechanic – Entry Level

Thatcher Company, Inc. is seeking an entry level industrial maintenance mechanic to work in the Salt Lake City, UT facility. This position will complement an existing Maintenance team comprised of other skilled and experienced team members.

Major Accountabilities

• Complete projects assigned by the Maintenance Manager.
• Maintain assets and systems by minimizing down time and maximizing equipment life.
• Ability to quickly make sound decisions and change plans.
• Responsibility for your work and deadlines.
• Capacity to work in a team or individually.
• Work safely while following company policies, protocols, and OSHA requirements.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to follow detailed verbal and written instructions.
• Aptitude interpreting and following technical drawings and plans.
• Experience using hand tools, power tools and industrial machinery.
• Willingness to work in extreme climates.

Required Qualifications

• General tool knowledge.
• Willingness to learn the trade.
• 1 year experience in a maintenance environment.
• Basic computer and tablet knowledge.
• Ability to understand technical drawings and plans.
• Read, write, and understand the English language.
• U.S. citizen or permanent resident status.

Shift Information

• Monday to Friday 7:00 am – 3:30 pm
• On-call as scheduled
