About the role

Job Summary:

The Site Procurement Business Partner is responsible for both strategic direction and tactical execution of procurement activities at the plant/site level. This role ensures optimal total cost, supplier performance, compliance, and operational efficiency while acting as a critical liaison between site operations and global/regional procurement functions.

 

  • Travel requirement: up to 5%, planned
  • Role requires strong collaboration across site, regional, and global teams

 

This position includes both the creation of strategic vision and tactical management, including—but not limited to—the following:

  • Executes procurement strategies, measures, and activities in close collaboration with plant stakeholders

In this role, you will:

Procurement Execution & Tactical Sourcing

  • Execute tactical sourcing activities 
  • Manage supplier setup and onboarding processes
  • Process requisitions efficiently 
  • Manage and prioritize expedite requests to ensure supply continuity
  • Oversee audit testing and procurement compliance requirements
  • Ensure adherence to Quality Standards
  • Maintain audit readiness and documentation accuracy

 

Supplier & Stakeholder Management

  • Serve as liaison between plant/site stakeholders and procurement functions (Category Management, procurement Services, etc.)
  • Support supplier performance management and issue resolution
  • Operate effectively in a matrix management environment

 

Process Improvement & Standardization

  • Drive procurement process standardization across the site
  • Lead and participate in Kaizen initiatives (Location SPA improvements)
  • Support development and deployment of centralized tools and automation

 

Training & Support

  • Deliver requisitioner training to improve compliance and process efficiency
  • Resolve Accounts Payable (AP) related issues tied to purchasing transactions

 

You have: (required)

  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, Business, Engineering, or related field 
  • At least 5 years of progressive procurement/supply chain experience, preferably in manufacturing, metals, or heavy industrial environments 
  • Minimum 2 years of direct people leadership (team lead, supervisor, or manager level) 
  • 2 years’ experience in manufacturing plant-level procurement operations (MRO, services, CapEx support, tactical sourcing) 
  • Working knowledge of end-to-end Procure-to-Pay (P2P) processes 
  • Experience with ERP systems (Oracle, SAP, or equivalent) and procurement tools 
  • Demonstrated ability to operate effectively in a matrixed organization (site, regional, global stakeholders) 
  • Experience in procurement governance and audit.
  • Proven ability to manage competing priorities in high-demand, plant environments 
  • Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
  • This position is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) which requires U.S. person status. ITAR defines U.S> person as a U.S> citizen, U.S> Permanent Resident (i.e. ‘Green Card Holder), Political Asylee, or Refugee.

 

Exceptional Candidates also have: (preferred)

  • MBA or master’s degree in supply chain or related discipline 

  • Professional certifications (CPSM, CSCP, CPIM)
