Position Summary:
Globus Medical is seeking a dynamic Director, HR Business Partner – International to lead strategic human resources support for our international business and commercial organization. This critical role partners closely with the Senior Vice President of International and senior leadership across regions to drive business results through strategic HR initiatives, ensuring alignment with organizational goals, compliance with local employment regulations, and championing a high-performance, inclusive culture.
The ideal candidate has proven international experience and may not fit the full profile of a traditional HRBP role. You will act as the key architect and executor of people strategies that strike the right balance of regional effectiveness and global HR strategy. This role requires someone who can partner with senior strategic leaders while ensuring operational effectiveness across all levels. This candidate is comfortable with drafting letters one day and advising on organizational strategy initiatives the next. As Globus works through complex acquisitions, the Director, HRBP- International, will act as the facilitator for HR through these initiatives. The ideal candidate has strong commercial acumen, acts with diplomacy and possesses superior influencing skills.
Essential Functions:
Strategic HR Leadership:
- Act as a strategic partner to international leadership to align people strategies with business objectives
- Act as the mediator in maintaining corporate directives and international strategy
- Develop and drive talent strategies to support growth across diverse international regions.
- Lead workforce planning, succession planning, and organizational design initiatives internationally.
- Ensure HR strategies are consistent with the company's global vision but tailored to local needs
Employee Relations & Engagement
- Provide guidance on complex employee relations matters, ensuring fair and consistent resolution across international markets.
- Lead efforts to foster a positive, inclusive, and high-performance culture.
- Conduct employee engagement initiatives and act on feedback to drive continuous improvement.
Talent Management & Development
- Partner with leaders to assess talent needs and drive acquisition, retention, and development initiatives internationally.
- In partnership with COE’s develop and implement leadership development, coaching, and career planning for international teams.
- Lead succession planning initiatives for critical International & regional roles.
- Lead international performance management processes ensuring consistency and fairness.
- Provide direct coaching to key regional leaders to build management capability.
Compliance & Risk Mitigation
- Oversee complex ER HR practices and ensure compliance with country-specific labor laws and regulations.
- Partner with legal and compliance teams to manage employment risk globally.
- Manage international global mobility and expatriate management, partnering on visa, relocation, and cross-border employment issues.
Operational Excellence
- Partner with HR Centers of Excellence (COEs) to deliver compensation, benefits, L&D, DEI, and talent management programs internationally.
- Analyze and leverage HR metrics to drive insights and improvements.
- Oversee, maintain and improve international HR processes (e.g., onboarding, offboarding, payroll coordination, policies, audits).
- Experienced in leveraging HRIS systems to efficiently manage employee information, enhance HR workflows, and maintain compliance with industry standards. Workday experience preferred/
Change Management & Communication
- Lead organizational change initiatives, acquisitions, restructures, and regional expansions.
- Design, implement and communicate HR programs, changes, and initiatives effectively across a multicultural, multilingual workforce.
HR Team Development & Leadership
- Lead, coach, and develop a team of HR Business Partners across APAC, EMEA, LATAM, and Japan, ensuring alignment to both Global HR and region
