Agency Workers will receive a W2 from the staffing agency reporting their earnings for tax purposes.Part-Time News & Deals Editor, Commerce HomeThe Commerce News and Deals Home team at Dotdash Meredith is looking for a smart, sharp editor to edit and occasionally write timely, home- and lifestyle-related shopping content, including sales roundups, expert-backed articles, and single product reviews. This person should have a background in online shopping and affiliate content and be familiar with our home brands, specifically Real Simple, Southern Living, and Better Homes & Gardens.

Assignment Details:

20 hours a weekStart date: 9/23/2024End date: 4 months with potential to extendHourly Rate: $30-$40 Location: Remote - US

Assignment Responsibilities:

Edit and occasionally write home- and lifestyle-focused shopping stories.
When needed, craft creative and thoughtful pitches related to reader-loved topics, sales events, first-hand experience, and more.
When needed, reach out to high-quality experts for in-depth perspectives on various topics and product picks.
Work collaboratively with other writers and editors on the Home News & Deals team to meet shared objectives.

Skills/Experience:

3+ years of related experience.
A strong editor/writer well-versed in a variety of product categories.
Knowledgeable about the home space and familiar with Dotdash Meredith’s home brands.
Experienced with commerce content and affiliate linking.
Familiar with SEO and affiliate linking best practices.
Ready to take on challenges, identify and seize new opportunities, and step up to handle tough situations.
