Job Description
NBCUniversal is seeking an Executive Assistant to support the leadership of Local Media’s New York Duopoly, WNBC and WNJU. This position supports the President and General Manager of WNBC and The President and General Manager of WNJU.
- Proactively manage and coordinate all calendars/schedules.
- Schedule all internal and external meetings.
- Provide professional phone coverage at all times; screen all calls and determine those which require immediate attention.
- Handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
- Maintain and update contact lists, contract reporting and other information as necessary.
- Assist with additional projects and other duties as required by both Presidents and General Managers. In addition, work with Department Heads on projects and initiatives as assigned.
- Process and track expense reimbursements.
- Coordinate travel arrangements.
- Assist with engagement activities related to the NY duopoly as assigned.
- Coordinate quarterly Town Hall meetings.
- Responsible for the management of conference room bookings
- Support office with supplies, engagement events and NJ based activities
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
- 2+ years prior relevant experience, supporting Senior-Level Executives and their teams. College degree preferred.
- Proficient with Outlook/Word/Excel/PowerPoint.
Desired Characteristics:
- Excellent problem-solver, consistently taking initiative and exhibiting strong resourcefulness.
- Exceptional communications skills (verbal and written), bilingual skills a strong plus and excellent interpersonal skills necessary.
- Proactive, flexible, self-starter with a boundary-less approach to working within the team.
- Ability to successfully multi-task and meet deadlines.
- Punctual, regular and consistent attendance.
- Proven ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced, deadline-driven media environment.
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential documents, such as personal services contracts.
Application Requirements:
- Standard work hours will be 8:00 am – 6:00 pm with willingness to work overtime and special events, some with short notice.
- For the first year, travel will be required between 30 Rockefeller Plaza, NYC and 2200 Fletcher Ave, Fort Lee, NJ.
Required On-Site: This position is required to be performed full-time from the NBCUniversal-designated worksite.
