Director of Facilities and Food Services   

Job Purpose: 

Oversee the agency’s facilities, fleet, and food management programs, including a staff and inventory of contractors for all Child Saving Institute campuses.

 

 

Job Duties

• Develop and maintain preventative maintenance plans for all facilities assets across Child Saving Institute’s campuses.
• Ensure the agency is in compliance with all relevant regulatory bodies (COA, USDA, DHHS, OSHA, DOL, State Fire Codes, Health and Wellness Codes, etc.)
• Monitor and continually update agency safety and emergency response planning to meet needs. (MSDS, Lock-Down, Fire, Tornado, etc.)
• Work with programmatic leadership to ensure a timely turnover of facilities in the event of staff and client turnover.
• Manage the facilities software management system.
• Coordinate agency communication pertaining to drills closures, and other emergency issues.
• Maintain supply and food ordering processes.
• Manage department financials to adhere to budgetary priorities.
• Develop a system for overseeing janitorial, maintenance, and food inventories.
• Develop, maintain and track Facility Warranty Records, Capital Needs/Wants, etc.
• Serve as the liaison for facilities and food service vendors.
• Manage municipal access systems.
• Plan, coordinate, direct and assist volunteers working on facility tasks.
• Manage, supervise, and professionally develop direct reports.  Including, but not limited to scheduling, time-off requests, and training.
• Co-lead agency safety committee.
• Complete other responsibilities as assigned by the supervisor.

Qualifications

Job Requirements:

• Bachelors Preferred / High school diploma or GED equivalent + Experience Considered 
• Proficient in Microsoft Office 365
• Ability to read, understand, and apply:
  • laws and licensing and accreditation standards.
  • instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.
• Demonstrated knowledge of building maintenance.
• Demonstrated skill in maintaining accurate and thorough reports and records; to work constructively and interact professionally with others; to coordinate multiple tasks; and, adjust to changing priorities and work within deadlines.
• Strong verbal and written skills.

 

Vehicle Requirements:

• Own transportation that meets agency vehicle inspection requirements.
• Valid driver’s license with no more than 3 points. 
• Proof of insurance that meets agency requirements.

 

Environment:

• Majority of work is performed in an office environment. Duties are performed in a variety of environments both indoors and outdoors in all seasons.
• May encounter higher than normal levels of noise due to power tools, dusty conditions due to construction activities, fumes due to maintenance activities, etc.
