- Coordinate medical records requests from outside agencies, ensuring timely and accurate communication.
- Facilitate referrals for services outside the psychiatry department, maintaining seamless continuity of care.
- Generate daily reports to enhance communication between scheduling and clinical staff.
- Manage virtual care room schedules for psychiatry offices, ensuring efficient operations.
- Provide administrative support to the department, including clerical duties, mail distribution, and scheduling virtual meetings.
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA guidelines when handling sensitive patient information.
- Participate in required meetings, contributing to the department's growth and development.
- High school diploma or GED required; experience in an office setting preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret documents, write routine reports, and communicate effectively with various stakeholders.
- Basic math skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
- Ability to apply common sense and deal with problems in standardized situations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to establish effective relationships via telephone and personal contacts.
- Current driver's license, acceptable driving record, and current auto insurance.
- Sedentary work, exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally, with repetitive movements of hands, fingers, and arms for typing and writing.
- Sitting for most of the time, with brief periods of walking or standing.
