Position Purpose:
The Staff Software Engineer is responsible for leading a high-impact engineering team focused on designing and delivering innovative logistics and supply chain solutions that drive operational efficiency and business results. Operates as a technical expert and bridge between management and development, answering complex technical questions, guiding product and tool decisions, and ensuring strong security, resilience, and performance standards.
Champions new initiatives and special projects in fast-paced, high-pressure settings, setting clear goals, providing technical leadership, and supporting talent development for junior engineers. Builds and maintains scalable, reliable systems using modern technologies and best practices, cultivates strong partnerships across business and engineering stakeholders, and translates supply chain and financial objectives into actionable technical solutions to enable results-focused delivery.
Key Responsibilities:

Travel Requirements:

Physical Requirements:
- Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions there may be a need to move or lift light articles.
Working Conditions:
- Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Must be eighteen years of age or older.
- Must be legally permitted to work in the United States.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 3–5 years of relevant professional experience in software engineering, ideally within supply chain, distribution, or logistics-related environments.
- Extensive hands-on experience with modern front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript/TypeScript frameworks), object-oriented programming languages (preferably Java), and relational or NoSQL database technologies.
- Proven track record leveraging cloud computing techniques (GCP, AWS, or Azure) and implementing CI/CD pipelines using industry-standard tools.
- Strong command of software design patterns, version control systems (e.g., Git, GitLab), and infrastructure automation.
- Solid experience in data modeling for both relational and NoSQL databases, especially as applied to logistics/supply chain data (order, inventory, delivery, etc.).
- Demonstrated ability in integrating and securing systems using modern security frameworks for authorization/authentication, with awareness of compliance requirements in supply chain contexts.
- In-depth experience designing, executing, and automating unit, functional, destructive, and performance tests. Experience leveraging modern debugging and root cause analysis techniques in high-availability environm
