We are looking for an individual who can build strong relationships across the organization and collaborate and communicate effectively with cross-functional stakeholders to achieve business objectives. In this role, you will work closely with the Business Unit Legal Directors and your business colleagues to support commercial and strategic initiatives across the product lifecycle and to provide practical and timely legal advice and solutions that enable innovation while managing legal and regulatory risk. There will be opportunities to lead or participate in broader Legal Department and Business Unit Legal practice group projects.
We want an attorney who is motivated to “own” complex matters and able to creatively identify alternatives and collaborate with business partners to implement solutions. Three important attributes for success in this role will be: excellent judgment, clear communication, and dependable execution skills.
The Interventional Cardiology and Vascular Therapies businesses offer technologies to improve the lives of patients living with heart and vascular conditions. The Interventional Oncology and Embolization business offers a comprehensive selection of tools that span embolization, cryoablation, selective internal radiation therapy and more to meet the complexity of cancer care.
Your Responsibilities Include:
- In conjunction with the Legal Directors supporting the business units, provide day-to-day legal advice and support to business functions, including Marketing, Sales, Health Economics and Market Access, and Regulatory Affairs.
- Advise on FDA, FTC and anti-kickback regulation aspects of sales & marketing programs and content.
- Draft, review, and negotiate commercial agreements, including supply, distribution, consulting, and research contracts.
- Support business development activities by assisting with due diligence and supporting integration of acquired companies.
- Collaborate with our Global Compliance team on the content and implementation of various compliance policies and procedures.
- Develop and provide engaging training to division employees on relevant legal topics.
- Monitor and communicate new regulations and guidance affecting the medical device industry.
- Participate in Business Unit Legal practice group projects and initiatives that help drive consistency and efficiency across the Legal team.
