The role...
The Staff Accountant role reports to the Accounting Manager and will be a crucial part of the finance team, responsible for a broad range of accounting related functions. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, analytical, customer service minded, motivated and able to work in a fast-paced environment. This exciting role will be diverse, allowing the selected candidate to play a crucial role in developing and improving our practices across all accounting functions. This role is a unique blend of high-level financial oversight and hands-on operational management, with approximately 50% of your time dedicated to managing Accounts Payable (AP).

Accounts Payable Management (50%)
- Oversee the full-cycle AP process, from coding and data entry to matching POs and obtaining approvals.
- Manage vendor inquiries, reconcile monthly statements, and maintain clean aging reports.
- Prepare and execute weekly check runs, ACH payments, and wire transfers.
- Maintain W-9 records and assist in the year-end 1099 filing process.
General Accounting & Reporting (50%)
- Preparation of monthly journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, accruals, reserves, intercompany transactions and eliminations, upload of foreign subsidiary ledgers to Oracle Review of departmental spend against budget; investigate variances to budget.
- Key contributor on cross-functional project teams to achieve desired results.
- Documentation of key controls and processes.
- Special projects and analysis, as needed.
- Prepare documentation and schedules for external audits.
Who you are and what you bring to the team...
- BS in Accounting 7+ years of experience, with a heavy emphasis on full-cycle.
- Accounts Payable and month-end close responsibilities.
- Experience with Oracle or other large ERP system, including GL, Fixed Assets, AR/AP.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Suite and/or Google Suite products.
- Strong analytical skills, critical thinking mindset, ability to troubleshoot.
- Proficient with spreadsheets (VLOOKUP’s, Pivot tables).
- Strong understanding of system design principles, scalability, and security best practices.

- Demonstrated understanding of US GAAP Ability to grasp and make “big picture” decisions, while maintaining strong attention to detail.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work effectively within a small, cohesive finance team.
- Ability to interact with external auditors and resolve issues quickly under supervision of the Corporate Controller.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Proactive and supportive of change Experience with QuickBooks (for sister company).

- Work environment is typically quiet for independent desk work and virtual meetings.
- The ability to perform repetitive motions with the wrists, hands, and fingers.
- The ability to extend hands and arms in any direction to access materials, equipment, or a keyboard.
- The ability to sit for long periods of time (often more than 70% of the workday).
- Ability to view and read information from a computer monitor, reports, and documents.
- Physically able to safely lift and carry 25 pounds to move, install, unpack PC equipment, office supplies, etc. as required.
This position has a starting base salary range of $73,000 to $100,000 per year, which the company, in good faith, reasonably expects to pay for this role a
