This is a Part-time Intern Position from June until August. This inten will be working on as need basis to be determined by the project team.

 

Noblis is looking for interns for our 2024 Summer Internship Program!

Our 2024 Program will be held in a hybrid work environment; participants must be in the local area to travel to an in-person facility for certain projects, meetings, and collaborative assignments. Noblis is offering internship opportunities in our Federal Civilian Services.

Responsible for developing and applying basic skills in areas of specialization with clear direction from your supervisor. Responsibilities and individual tasks are generally fundamental, routine in nature, and require minimal problem solving. Ask clarifying questions, refer more complex issues to higher levels and follow direction and guidance from others. Begin to understand how to apply strengths, know when to ask for help and know how you contribute to corporate success. With a service excellence mindset, begin to build a relationship with your manager, the organization you support, and internal/external business contacts. Follow Noblis’ policies and procedures. Ensure that all work products follow Noblis’ policies and procedures and operate at a level of quality that positively affects the Noblis brand.

Project Description

  • Organize and document materials for task order closeout activities
  • Develop graphics and slides in support of communicating future research needs and opportunities
  • Work with Cohort meeting data to develop evaluation method and deliver results.
  • Research FHWA and other documents to develop a list of use cases and potential images for future presentations.

Required Qualifications

What We Need From You: 

  • A GPA of 3.3 or higher  
  • U.S. Citizenship, and the ability to obtain and maintain a clearance
  • Be a rising undergraduate sophomore, junior, senior or current Masters student, with a focus on relevant topics areas (e.g., sustainability, environmental science, engineering, etc.)
  • Ability to relocate to the DC metro area and access on-site facility as needed
  • Have an awareness, understanding, and working knowledge with some of the tools/technologies/libraries, and have a willingness to learn

Desired Qualifications

An interest or skill in any of the following:

  • Transportation planning
  • Sustainability
  • Working with the US Federal Government
