About the Role
We are seeking a Product Manager for the Supply Chain Tech team. In this role, you’ll shape and drive a roadmap that spans backorder and purchasing optimization, future-state purchase-order workflows, and real-time status update automation, ensuring cross-functional teams can make faster, smarter, data-driven purchasing decisions with full visibility from vendor to customer.
You’ll partner with senior leaders across Sales, Procurement, and Operations to transform complex, fragmented processes into scalable, efficient systems. You’ll define requirements, set priorities, and manage cross-functional delivery of initiatives that improve forecast accuracy, cut manual work, minimize fulfillment delays, and align supply chain execution with strategic business goals.
The position will collaborate closely with a team of in-house product managers, designers, and engineers, as well as a diverse array of stakeholders, all going through significant business transformation. A successful product manager in this position will be motivated by the interplay of business, technology, and user experience and should be able to move fluidly between high-level strategic thinking and nuanced product requirements, actively owning and managing the complexity that comes with building amazing digital products. Additionally, this person should have a high degree of data fluency and be comfortable using data as a means of drawing insights to inform product and business strategy
This is a highly visible, impact-driven role for a product manager who thrives on solving operational challenges, translating insights into intuitive, business-critical tools, and ensuring adoption at scale.
Key Responsibilities
- Establish the product vision, goals, objectives, and key results (OKRs) for success
- Develop an intimate understanding of our supply chain, including workflows, data, and systems that govern this area of the Schumacher business
- Define and deliver your product roadmap through a detailed understanding of our varying users’ needs and ownership of your prioritized feature backlog
- Work cross-functionally with key internal partners, including product designers, software development engineers, sales, finance, customer service, legal, and business development, on a rapid and iterative product development cycle
- Clearly define customer and product requirements, solicit ideas and feedback, gather requirements, write specs, craft wireframes and workflows, and coordinate cross-functional initiatives
- Increase insights on user behavior and pain points. Identify, measure, and improve key customer experience metrics. Promote data-based decision making
- Continually optimize the product and feature roadmap and manage prioritization and trade-offs among customer experience, time-to-market, and operational support load
- Manage bottlenecks, resolve escalations, anticipate and make feature and resource trade-offs, balance the business needs against technical constraints, and maximize business benefit while building great customer experiences
