The Royal Caribbean Group’s Celebrity Cruises brand has an exciting career opportunity for a full time Sr. Account Executive, Global Social Strategist on the Marketing Team reporting to the Vice-President, Global Brand Marketing and Communications.
Position Summary:
The Sr. Account Executive, Global Social Strategist, will play a crucial role in shaping our global social media strategy and enhancing our digital presence. This role will be focused on social media reporting and listening. Key areas of the role will include listening to consumer sentiment across channels, tracking key performance metrics, and providing actionable insights to optimize our global social media campaigns. The Sr. Account Executive, Global Social Strategist reports to the Director of Global Social Media for Celebrity Cruises. The efforts of this role will directly contribute to our brand's success and growth.
This position will work on-site in Miami, Florida
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Lead social listening strategy development for brand, community, and competitive monitoring.
- Set up the infrastructure and tools to be able to monitor social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, TikTok, Pinterest) to track mentions, trends, and conversations related to our brand, industry, external industries and competitors.
- Collect, analyze, and interpret social media content performance to measure the effectiveness of our campaigns. Identify patterns, trends, and opportunities for improvement.
- Prepare and package regular reports on key social media metrics and insights, including engagement, reach, click-through rates, and conversion rates.
- Keep a close eye on our competitors' social media activities and benchmark our performance against industry standards. Provide recommendations based on insights gained.
- Monitor impactful external companies to leverage breakthrough social media efforts that we are able to incorporate.
- Collaborate with content creators to refine social media content based on data-driven insights. A/B test different content strategies to improve engagement and conversions.
- Analyze audience demographics and behaviors to help shape our target audience and tailor content accordingly.
- Assist in the development of social media strategies and campaigns. Provide recommendations for budget allocation, ad and audience targeting, and content creation.
- Monitor social media and online forums for brand sentiment and work cross-functionally to develop and implement response strategies.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and social media platform changes to ensure our strategies remain current and effective.
Qualifications, Knowledge and Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, data analysis, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a social media strategist or similar role.
- Proficiency in social media analytics/listening tools and platforms (e.g., Simply Measured, Sprout Social, Brandwatch, Netbase Quid, Google Analytics, Hootsuite, etc.).
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to turn data into actionable insights.
- Creative thinking and problem-solving abilities.
- Familiarity with SEO principles and content optimization.
- Knowledge of paid social media is a plus.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced team environment.
- Excellent organizational, time management, and multitasking skills.
- Exceptional oral and written communication skills – diplomacy and interpersonal skills are a necessity.
- Ability to think critically, take initiative and work autonomously.
- Project management experience and skillset.
- Dependable, eager, respectful, proactive.
- Self-starter with a positive attitude and a collaborative personality.
- This role will be located at the Royal Caribbean offices in Miami, and is in-office Monday-Thursdays, with work from home on Fridays.
- Ability to travel as needed.
- Available outside of standard office hours, as social media is “always on”.
