Description
The University of Montana, Department of Pharmacy Practice, invites applications for a tenure- track Assistant/Associate Professor of Internal Medicine to begin Summer 2025.
The Assistant/Associate professor has primary teaching responsibility in therapeutics courses and pharmacy practice skills in the Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) curriculum as well as serving as the preceptor for required Advanced Pharmacy Practice Experiences (APPE) in general medicine. The faculty is also required to provide service to the Department, School, College and the profession of pharmacy and be actively involved in research/scholarship.

Position Details
Tenurable Faculty: Pharmacy Practice
Title: Assistant/Associate Professor of Internal Medicine
Schedule: Full time, fiscal year position
Salary: $98,000- $118,000
Benefits: Medical Insurance/Mandatory Retirement Contribution/Professional Development/Partial Tuition Waiver/Wellness
Primary Duties: Primary duties include teaching, scholarship, and service.
Qualifications
- Hold a Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) from an ACPE-accredited institution or equivalent degree
- Eligible for pharmacy licensure in the state of Montana
- Postdoctoral residency, fellowship or a minimum of three (3) years of experience in an internal medicine practice setting
- Eligible to precept pharmacy students in the state of Montana
- Evidence of the ability to develop, implement or maintain clinical programs to further pharmacy involvement in the clinical site
- Possess leadership and interpersonal skills to facilitate productive team dynamics and professional growth
- Evidence of the ability to work effectively with other healthcare professionals
Preferred Qualifications:
- Board certified as a Pharmacotherapy or other Specialist or be eligible for certification
- Experience in education of pharmacy students or other health profession students
- Experience in authoring clinical or scientific publications
- Experience in research/scholarship and/or active research project and extramural funding
