Job Title: Preschool Administrative Assistant
Location: The Goddard School of Lake Forest – Alton Parkway

In this vital role, you will support the Director and Owner with day-to-day operations, front desk management, and school-wide coordination to help create a safe, welcoming, and enriching environment for children, families, and staff.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist the Director and Owner with operational and administrative duties to ensure smooth daily functioning of the school.
Serve as the friendly and professional face of the school at the front desk, supporting families, visitors, and staff.
Help with school opening and/or closing procedures as needed.
Maintain up-to-date and organized records in compliance with California state licensing regulations.
Communicate effectively with families and staff to promote strong relationships and positive school experiences.
Coordinate teacher and classroom needs including supplies, scheduling, and communication.
Assist with family tours, enrollment, orientation, and admissions to ensure seamless transitions.
Monitor and support compliance with all local, state, and federal early education standards.
Help nurture a positive, inclusive school culture that values diversity and teamwork.
Step in where needed to support classrooms or operational needs — flexibility and collaboration are key!

Required Qualifications:

Must meet California State Licensing requirements:
12 ECE units, including
Infant/Toddler Development
3 Administrative Units
AA or Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a related field is a plus
Minimum 3 years of experience in a preschool, early education, or administrative role
Strong organizational, communication, and multitasking skills
CPR and First Aid Certification (or willingness to obtain)
Friendly, proactive attitude and ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team
Willingness to work occasional evenings or weekends as needed
