Job Summary :

The Service Station Manager will provide leadership and technical support to assigned personnel and contractors. They will be responsible for creating and maintaining a safe work environment, managing costs, and delivering repairs on time. The manager will also ensure standard work / processes are followed in order to ensure high quality work and, providing additional oversight to ensure work is performed within budgeted time and within the guidelines of all quality standards.

The Aftermarket services function is responsible for the repair, upgrade, and calibration of customer owned tooling sold by RH Aero. This role will also engage with other stations and cross-functional teams to create solutions to meet customer needs, develop processes to support and implement on time and profitably.  The Service Station Manager may also develop and maintain key domestic & international relationships with OEMs.

 

Key Responsibilities


Provide daily professional and disciplinary leadership of the site team and ensure safe and effective operations for employees
Evaluate team performance in accordance with corporate guidelines and annual performance management process, providing feedback on personnel to the Director of North American Services.
Provide direction/guidance to the team regarding analytical troubleshooting, repair, and testing of tools & equipment
Represent the station in terms of external impact e.g. customers, supplier and partners
Learn and understand customer requirements and ensure processes are established to meet delivery timing expectations
Identify technical problems and provide appropriate recommendations on assigned responsibilities.
Guide technical team to execute repairs and maintenance work according to processes, guidelines and safety regulations.
Responsible for timely completion of recertification / repair orders and provide occasional on-site project support.
Responsible for compliance with the specifications and targets
Responsible for the further local expansion of the branch
Expand our local supply chain and strengthen our existing structure and partnerships
Execution process reviews and optimize existing processes with functional leaders
Collaborate within a global, international team of station managers to develop international standards for our service network

QualificationsQualifications


The ideal candidate would have previous experience repairing, servicing, or building complex equipment and tooling assemblies. 
The ability to read and understand engineering drawings, bills of material, and schematics.
The ability to operate hand tools and basic machine tools and must understand standard assembly practices.
Knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics and some basic electronics is a plus) additional mechanical or technical schooling (trade or college; MET or Mechanical Technician) is strongly preferred.
Provide a level of support and service which ensures the optimum customer experience.



BSME (e.g. aerospace engineering, mechanical engineering, mechatronics engineering) or equivalent degree; Masters degree preferred
Minimum 10 years work experience, ideally perennial experience as a team lead
Experience in the aviation industry would be an advantage but not a mandatory condition
Experience in the service work environment would be an advantage but not a mandatory condition
Have a high degree of self-motivation and work in a dynamic and structured manner
Excellent communicator in English (spoken and written), other languages, e.g. German would be an advantage
Computer literacy includes Microsoft Excel and Power point.
Self-motivated, strong attention to detail, and accuracy.
Ability to read and fully understand general procedure manuals.
Skills pertaining to mechanical evaluations and repairs of a wide range of equipmen
