Team Lead Commercial Service Management (m/f/d)

The Corporate IT Services Team is the one and only ServiceNow Center of Competence & Innovation within Allianz for designing, developing and operating all ServiceNow based solutions, as well as driving & steering global standardization. The team is the central contract holder and partner for all ServiceNow licenses and engagements and is continuously driving innovation to lever the complete potential of ServiceNow platform (ITSM, SPM, ITOM, HR, SecOPS, AI, predictive intelligence, machine learning, risk management etc.).
The Team Lead will be responsible for managing all commercial & financial aspects of the shared service in a profitable way, along financial targets and defined KPIs. This includes strategic planning & pricing, as well as managing the strategic contract & license agreements with the software provider ServiceNow. Operationally the Lead will be managing the team and be responsible for controlling & steering the Service.
You will
- Oversee contracts and agreements with our ServiceNow supplier to ensure efficient service delivery.
- Develop and implement a strategic vision for the Commercial Service Management department.
- Set strategic pricing for ServiceNow platform and products, adapting to market evolution.
- Act with an entrepreneurial mindset to ensure profitable and sustainable growth on the platform.
- Manage the yearly planning cycle for all cost centers to ensure profitable service management.
- Manage Profit and Loss (P&L) through cost control and revenue assurance.
- Establish dashboards and KPIs to provide financial transparency for effective decision-making.
- Responsible for the team handling billing, corrections, and invoice management.
- Ensure the value chain for purchase orders, including approvals and briefings for senior management.
- Ensure quality, transparency, and control of internal and external labor costs.
- Provide transparency on license consumption in correlation with revenue.
- Work on product evolution and create attractive service offerings for internal and external customers.
- Manage and create customer contracts, maintain service descriptions, and ensure SLAs by maintaining transparency.
- Collaborate with Financial units for data analysis, controlling, planning, and forecasting.
Your skills
Qualification:
- A bachelor's degree in business, management, or a related field is required. A master's degree is a plus.
- A minimum of 7-10 years of relevant experience in commercial service management, including contract management and financial oversight.
- Demonstrated leadership experience in managing teams and promoting a collaborative work environment.
- Experience in managing contracts and licenses with ServiceNow or a similar IT service management platform.
Skills / Experience:
Given the seniority level & complexity of this role, the Team Lead is also expected to bring experience in IT Service Management and has a strong background in complex IT Software Development environment with a profound understanding of financial processes.
- Strong financial management skills, including budgeting, cost control, and P&L management.
- Experience with managing yearly planning cycles for cost centers and achieving profitable service management.
- Ability to set strategic pricing for service offerings and adapt to market changes.
- Ability to develop and execute a strategic vision for service management in alignment with our goals.
- A proactive and entrepreneurial mindset with a focus on profitable and sustainable growth.
- Expertise in contract negotiation, monitoring, and fulfillment, with a strong emphasis on value extraction, as well as Hands-on experience in managing and creating customer contracts.
- Familiarity with contributing to and implementing sourcing strategies in alignment with procurement best practices
- Proficiency in data analysis and the ability to utilize data to make informed decisions and optimize service offerings.
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including senior management.
- Experience in managing external suppliers and optimizing supplier portfolios, as well as managing relationships.
- Strong understanding of legal and regulatory compliance related to service management contracts.
- Ability to communicate fluently in English and German
