Sr Tax Analyst

POSITION SUMMARY: The Senior Tax Analyst assists with tax compliance, concentrating on preparation and review of various tax returns (Federal, State, etc.) as well as the calculation of consolidated book-tax differences. The Senior Tax Analyst also engages in a variety of other tax matters which may include audit support, tax provisioning, planning or forecasting.   

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES: 

• Preparation and/or review of more complex federal and state income tax returns.

• Preparation of more complex consolidated book-tax differences for tax compliance

• Support or manage various tax audits or appeals.

• Respond to all manners of tax notices.

• Engage and contribute to department projects or initiatives. Such matters may include including research, planning, forecasting, tax provisioning, state apportionment or other projects as they occur.

• Mentor and develop tax analysts.

QUALIFICATIONS: 

• 5 years of recent corporate tax or public accounting experience.

• Experience with tax software, preferably CorpTax.

• Experience with tax research software, preferably BNA, RIA or CCH.

• Understanding of accounting concepts and the application of those concepts to tax related issues.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: 

• 3-5 years of corporate tax, public accounting or related experience
